Olive oil (Olea europaea fruit oil*) is one of the oldest cosmetics in history; the Egyptians already used it to macerate aromatic plants and apply it to the skin. In Northern Europe, it is known as "liquid gold," and we use it as a base for making solid soaps and as a base for macerating calendula flower and birch leaf.
This oil, so widely used in Spain, has very good cosmetic properties.
Olive Oil Production
Our oil is extracted by pressing the olive fruit. Organic olive oil is a great ally for dry and/or sensitive skin.
Benefits of Olive Oil for the Skin
Furthermore, after many tests, we have chosen it to macerate organic calendula flowers. This is because it extracts the properties of these flowers much better than other oils. It is an oil in its own right:
Prevents skin dehydration: Olive oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, making it ideal for preventing dehydration and nourishing the skin, leaving it soft and supple.
Anti-inflammatory properties: It can help soothe inflamed skin and reduce irritation.
Regenerating properties: It is rich in vitamin E and other antioxidants, making it ideal for supporting skin cell regeneration and reducing signs of aging.
Protective properties: It can form a protective barrier on the skin, protecting it from environmental damage and dehydration. It maintains the natural protective layer of our skin (the hydrolipidic film).
It's an oil that's very close to us, and we often don't give it the value it deserves, especially when it's organic and cold-pressed.
