Calendula, also known as "marigold," which says a lot, is a plant whose flowers have multiple beneficial properties for your skin. That's why we use it in many of our products at Såper. The Egyptians already used it, and considered it almost magical. For centuries, it has been a widely used flower for skin care due to its properties and cosmetic benefits, in creams, soaps, oils, and serums.
Calendula oil properties
- It regenerates the skin, as it heals: this is one of the main properties or benefits of calendula oil for the skin due to its high flavonoid content. It's very suitable for improving the skin of burns; we've tried it on many occasions, and the improvement in the skin's appearance is very noticeable, of course, after treating the burn, and ensuring there is no open wound.

It's very soothing and softening for damaged skin: thanks to its phytosterols and salicylic acid content, you can use it if your skin isn't in good condition, and if it is, even better, because it will keep it perfect.

Contraindications of Calendula
You can safely use calendula at any time. It's a plant whose flowers have no contraindications, as it contains no active ingredients that can cause allergies.
You can apply calendula products in any format and extraction method, whether as a hydrolate, macerated extract, or directly from the flower.
