Victoria Sánchez Campos holds a degree in Art History and a Diploma in Conservation and Restoration of works of art, a Master's degree in Cosmetology and Dermopharmacy from the UNED, a Course in Good Manufacturing Practices in Cosmetic Laboratory by AENOR, an Expert Course in Safety Assessment and Cosmetic Product Information File by CEU, as well as numerous courses related to the formulation of natural and ecological cosmetics .

She has developed her professional career as a historian and restorer in private archives and laboratories and at the NGO Restauradores sin Fronteras, participating in international development cooperation projects in cultural heritage.

In 2012, she decided to change her career and turn her hobby (making cosmetics) into a new life project. She created an organic cosmetics laboratory and a store open to the public in Casa de Uceda, a small town in the Guadalajara mountains. It opened in June 2013 and has continued to grow and evolve since then.

  • Where did you grow up?
    In Madrid
  • How long have you been working/collaborating at Såper?
Even before Saper existed as it is today, I already had the idea in my head. It began to take shape in 2011, searching for a location, designing the laboratory, the store, processing the health registration, formulating the products, etc. The location was very important; we were looking for a place far from the big cities, surrounded by nature, and very quiet.
  • What is your official position at Såper?
Well, until my brother joined as a partner and Commercial Director, my official position was all…
  • What is your actual position at Såper?
And now, well, I'm mainly in the lab, manufacturing products, preparing orders, managing social media, and organizing papers, papers, and more papers. The folders are growing at a frantic pace!!!
  • What do you like most about your job at Såper?
    Freedom.
Managing my own time. Since I started this project, I haven't had two consecutive days that have been the same. Every day is an adventure.
  • Also the daily contact with nature (you have to see the views I have from Casa de Uceda).
  • What is your favorite product?
Ufffff...the truth is that I wouldn't know which one to choose, but if I were going on a trip and could only take one product, I would take the Skin Repair Body Butter, I love its smell, its texture and its versatility!!!
  • What makes you recharge your batteries?
    Travel
  • What sets Saper apart from other cosmetic brands?
    The soul.
  • Yes, I know, it sounds a bit corny, but it's the truth, all our products go through a very careful formulation process, we don't just think about the final properties they will have, for me the origin of all our ingredients is very important, they all have to be of plant origin, we don't use any animal derivatives, and they have to come from organic farming, this guarantees that we are not only taking care of people, we are also taking care of the earth, protecting it from pesticides, biocides and phytosanitary products, and also from GMOs.
  • We don't use organic ingredients because they're trendy, and that way we can add another stamp to the label. No, we use them because we can't imagine making cosmetic products any other way, because this way we close a perfect circle, taking care of people, animals, and the Earth.
  • What is your motto, what makes you happy?
Knowing that with my daily work, I'm doing my part to make things in this world a little better, as a Chinese proverb says: "The gentle fluttering of a butterfly's wings can be felt on the other side of the world."
