Såper PHILOSOPHY

Såper is Ecological. We are located in a small town, Casa de Uceda, in Guadalajara, where our laboratory and store have grown. We have been concerned for years about pollution and industrial products that intoxicate us and damage the environment, such as conventional cosmetics that pretend to be “natural” but hide preservatives and synthetic additives that are harmful to our health. That’s why we wanted to do our bit by developing Såper, high ecological cosmetics that take care of people and the environment to bring us closer to a more sustainable development.

 

We love what we do. We started more than 5 years ago to develop our first formulas of soaps and oils for facial and body treatments for our friends and family, and after years of improvement, research and training, we have achieved products that work and take care of the skin, and now we want to share them with a wider audience.

The Såper product collection is a 100% natural blend of potent, pure , organic bio-active ingredients from plant extracts and first cold-extracted vegetable oils that respect and nourish the skin. All our products are free of synthetic ingredients, parabens, petroleum derivatives, pesticides, GMOs, silicones, phthalates, and bisphenol-A.

Our lines are created to find harmony between the external and the internal. It breathes again, recognizes the natural ingredients, nourishes itself again, feels good again, is radiant again and brings out its natural glow. We achieve the internal with aromatherapy, a rich blend of essential oils, with relaxing, protective, healing, positive, real, happy effect.

Our Name

Såper means soap in Norwegian. And why this name? For several reasons; one of them is that for years we have been making trips back and forth to Scandinavia, a land rich in natural purity and concern for the environment, and that has rubbed off on us. Another reason is that one of the first known cosmetics is soap and we wanted to go back to the origin, because for centuries, cultures have learned and used plants from nature for their well-being and to stay young. We have taken advantage of this knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation, from our ancestors to the present.

As early as the 8th century BC, 2800 years ago, in ancient Mesopotamia, the Sumerians used soap by boiling various alkalis and reusing their residues for washing. Since that time, soap has evolved with all of us as human development has progressed. The problem has been that the intensity of its production has made it progressively detach itself from the warmth it once had, and become hooked to the industrial dynamics that mechanization has marked it, and that has been imposed over the centuries. We at Såper have returned soap to its origin, that is to say, we have made it what it was, only and exclusively, Soap. Nothing else, no additives, no detergents, totally natural, totally beautiful. We have returned to the land what should never have left it, we have tried to return to the local, to artisanal production, to the small scale, to the minimum. Thus, we have been creating true cosmetic jewels, trying to find the balance between globality and locality, combining design, technology, avant-garde and tradition.

We have opted for quality and not quantity, we have opted for the strictly natural, without excesses, and without artifices, as our ancestors did, taking the components of what they had near their homes, trying to recognize themselves in what they made.

We believe that all of that spirit is reflected in our products, we believe that all of that is Såper.

Why Såper is different

Quality

We use only the rich juice that comes from the drops of the first cold extraction made from the fruits and flowers of the plants. The quality of the oils is strictly controlled and they are always organic, not only natural, as they have been grown without pesticides or phytosanitary products.

The resulting elixir is a blend of active ingredients, soft, silky, with the subtle aroma provided by the essential oils. The results are visible from the first applications, people ask you what you have done, why you look so relaxed, why you look so healthy, and the answer is simple: a few drops of organic elixir fight oxidation, nourish the lipid layer and its fatty acids, provide vitamins, protect the corneal layer so that problems do not penetrate to inner layers of the skin, give energy to the cells, improve elasticity, redistribute the natural pigmentation of the skin, preventing and mattifying photo-aging, improve the production of collagen and elastin, and activate cell renewal, in short an experience for the well-being of your skin.

Packaging “the best natural preservation

All our packaging is reusable and recyclable.

• Soaps: packed by hand, one by one, with waxed paper and protected by a recyclable cardboard box that maintains the organoleptic properties of the soap and guarantees the preservation of the active ingredients.

• Oils and Balms: packaged in violet glass, designed with the latest biophotonic technology, which blocks the visible light spectrum, allowing the passage of ultraviolet light to ensure the best protection against oxidation. In this way we achieve the conservation and efficacy of the active ingredients of our formulas, and maintain the aromatherapy resulting from the exquisite blend of essential oils. And all without the addition of preservatives.

BIOVIDASANA STANDARD, CERTIFIED BY BIO.INSPECTA

The BioVidaSana cosmetic standard guarantees the traceability and integrity of organic and natural cosmetic products certified according to this standard, while allowing market access for small and medium-sized companies.

Bio.inspecta is the certification body for the BioVidaSana standard, created in 1983 and linked since its foundation with the Swiss Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), one of the most prestigious centers for research in organic production worldwide. All our soaps, facial and body oils and soaps, are within the Category I “Ecological Cosmetic Product (Biological or Organic)”.which implies that at least one 90% of the ingredients must be of organic origin, and in the case of soaps at least 95% of the ingredients must be from organic production.

AUTHORIZED LABORATORY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COSMETICS

Såper is a cosmetic manufacturer authorized by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products under number 11631CS.

The laboratory where we manufacture our products has passed the corresponding sanitary controls, and all batches of our soaps undergo strict quality controls through the analysis performed by an authorized control laboratory.

Since 2013, the European Parliament has been regulating the regulation of cosmetic products through Regulation No. 1223/2009 , which means greater control of all products at the European level.
